This issue is caused by the browser setting. I got a "success" message but I cannot find the file. A search for all azw and azw3 files on my computer did not find the file I "thought" had downloaded. I use Firefox and the usual message that a file had been downloaded never appeared. Unfortunately this is happening with Safari as well. Very frustrating.

I was not present when my husband first tried it, so I don't know if the message was there or not, but now it is fixed and working. All behave the same when attempting to download content via usb, a popup windows opens, and displays the endless circle of death, never asks for my kindle device or proceeds beyond that infinite revolving arrow. Guess I'll try again tomorrow. He doesnt seem to understand that I need to download it first to send it as an attachment!! This is insane!!
Hope someone here can help me! Not working for me either. I've tried Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on two different devices. Recover deleted books, images, videos, movies, documents etc from a Kindle tablet. Retrieve archived kindle books and save it anywhere on the Kindle or on the Windows system. One is for Normal Data recovery of damaged or corrupted Kindle files. The third one is Formatted partition recovery.
Use the Kindle Recovery tool to search for files within the recovered data. Search based on a phrase or a keyword to locate a particular book within all the system data. To further simplify the search, set a time period during which the file was last modified.
There is also an option to search within just the recovered files by checking the Included Deleted Files. The Kindle recovery tool makes sure that folder and tree structure of files is retained during recovery. There is no data loss in the recovery of files.
